The old church which was ¼ mile to the south of the present church just consisted of a chancel until 1980. The present large church is of yellow brick and has a west tower, wide nave and a short chancel. It was built in 1839 by W A. Nicholson., Restored in 1879 and the Nave roof in 1908. The Norman pillar Piscina, with a decorated scallop capital, was found in a local garden and is thought to possibly be from the old church.
