Kempe Reredoses

A Reredos is a carved or ornamented screen with religious icons placed behind the altar in a church. A triptych reredos is one in three parts, often constructed so that the outer parts will close covering the centre panel. Kempe's studio produced a number of these, mostly carved in wood and painted.
